A Time to Serve

Victory’s Community outreach event: Project signups begin next Sunday in the sanctuary at the end of each service. Let’s BE a “cup of cold” water in our communities.

VictoryKids

VictoryKids has an immediate opening for an assistant in the BigHouse Program in our 4/5 year olds class at the 8:30 hour. This position is every other week and does not require any prep time. Also needed are 2 Leaders in the 2/3 year olds class at 8:30.

VictoryKids needs individuals who would be willing to serve as occasional Substitutes. We would love to partner you with a specific leader or age group. Can you help us out and be that person who offers support to another volunteer? Contact Miss Tracy at 962-7000.

Victory Student Ministries

Do you love teens? Do you want to make a positive impact? Victory Student Ministries has openings for volunteers at the Wednesday night Remix/Mix for middle and high school students.

National Day of Prayer

The National Day of Prayer is May 3rd. Come join us for a time of prayer in Victory’s Student Ministries Center at 6:30 PM. This is an annual event in which millions of Americans unite to pray for our country and leaders.

Legacy Builders Luncheon (55+)

Rent-A-Teen

Need some help around the house or around the yard? Planning some spring cleaning, flower planting or raking? VSM’s Rent-a-Teen program is a perfect solution! Hire a teen or two for these jobs and help fund mission trips and camps. Just $25 minimum per teen gets the job done and your money goes directly into the students’ accounts. Adult Ministries

Baptism classes are held the first Sunday of each month at 8:30AM in Room #1.

Victory Life Development Institute – Class 101
Victory Life Development Institute is our discipleship track designed to help you develop into a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ. Each of the 5 classes is designed to teach Biblical principles and skills to help you grow. The next 4-week VLDI Class 101: Discovering the Basics, taught by Pastor Ted Roloson, will run Sunday, May 20, 27, June 3 & 10, 2012 @ 11:10AM in Room #1.

Victory Hike

A hike is planned for Saturday 5/19 in the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. We will meet at the church at 8:00AM and car pool to starting point. The hike will be fairly strenuous. We will hike for about 3-4 hours with a break in the middle for lunch and a devotional. This is not appropriate for young children or those not capable of a moderately strenuous hike. Community News / Opportunities

The Corning Rotary Club is hosting a Book Drive to support the “Read to Me Steuben, Bright Red Bookshelf Project” which is sponsored by the Proaction of Steuben & Yates Family Literacy Program. Please bring gently used books (toddler books, picture books, easy readers and chapter books for young adults) to Victory on Sunday, May 13th and Sunday, May 20th. Collection bins will be provided.

Can you build the HIGHEST skyscraper? The most TERRIFIC tower? Join us on Friday, May 18 from 6:30-8:30PM in the Lobby for LEGO MANIA! This event is FREE but families must bring their own Legos or Duplos. The building theme will be “Towers.” Register early, space will be limited. Additional info is available at the CM table.

The Way College and Young Adults

• Ladies only group meets every other Sunday at 6:30 in Corning. Currently working through The Power of a Woman’s Words by Sharon Jaynes.
• Dave Enders facilitates a Monday night Young Adult small group. Meetings are at 7:00pm at his apartment in Corning.
• 2 Corinthians Bible study meets on Tuesdays at 6:30 PM in the Green Room here at Victory. We are just studying Galatians.
