Missions
Recently the US Census Bureau announced that 1 in 2 Americans have fallen into poverty or are just getting by on earnings that classify them as low-income working poor. To assist in raising awareness of poverty in Steuben County, a one-mile walking event called WALK A MILE IN THEIR SHOES will be held simultaneously in three communities — Bath, Corning, & Hornell on May 19, 2012. For more information please consult the WALK A MILE brochure located Off the Wall.
Do you or someone you know have wheelchairs, walkers or other mobility aids stored in a garage or basement? Wheels for the World, a program of Joni and Friends (joniandfriends.org), collects, restores, and distributes these, along with the Gospel, worldwide. Disabled children and adults in developing nations such as Brazil, Peru and India are unable to acquire such “luxuries” and are left to drag themselves around by their hands! Join in this venture and help bring mobility and the hope of Christ to those who would not otherwise have it! If you are interested in helping and want more information, pick up a flyer “Off the Wall” in the Lobby.
We have a great opportunity to go on a Short-term Missions trip this summer to Overflow Church in Benton Harbor, Michigan. The dates are July 23-29, 2012. We will be doing compassionate ministries and working on a building that will be used for their church. An informational meeting will be held on Sunday, May 27th in Room #4 following the third service.
For more information contact Pastor Tom Kuehner at tkuehner@victoryhighway.com.

Early bird Registration deadline must be postmarked by June 1 at the cost of $15. After that date or walk-ins will be $20. Please make checks payable to CNY District. (price includes a chicken barbecue lunch) For more information visit: intersectcny.blogspot.com.

Hire a teen or two for these jobs and help fund mission trips and camps. Just $25 minimum per teen gets the job done and your money goes directly into the students’ accounts. This is a perfect opportunity for you to get some things done and help support a teen at the same time! For more information email contact@victoryhighway.com.
Adult Ministries
Baptism classes are held the first Sunday of each month at 8:30AM in Room #1.
“The Path through the Pain – I Thessalonians”
Leader: Matt Strack, Room #4 at 9:50 starting June 3\
Join us as we study the words of strength, encouragement and hope which the Apostle Paul shares with the young believers in Thessalonica to guide them through the challenges of life. The message of this book is so relevant today as we seek to understand how to react to and deal with the difficulties of life, while striving to walk in obedience to God. Bring a Bible and a heart eager and open to hear what God will say to you through our study of I Thessalonians.

Please bring your own lunch and water to carry with you. Estimated time to get back to church is 3:30-4:00PM. For questions, contact Gary Enders at 607-962-2175 or garyenders@aol.com.
