Married to Kurt Parker since December 1983 (my high school sweetheart but we secretly liked each other since the age of 11 or 12). Two boys, both live in North Carolina – Benjamin Parker 1986 (wife – Catherine, married in 2008) and William Parker 1989 (wife to be, Angela)

Speed Testimony: I asked Christ to come into my heart around the age of 5, but I cannot ever remember a time when I didn’t love the things of God. I was brought up in a home that centered around family and church. I recommitted my life at the age of 15 at a Youth Conference, Cinnci ’80. From that point my life took on new purpose and direction. My growth has been steady and had many significant milestones along the journey. I strive to live a life pleasing to God,ever conscious that I am need of His grace every day.

Favorite:

Sport: I love kayaking, hiking, biking, and being a Mom (it can be a contact sport!)

Hobbies: Card and Journal making (but truly love just being creative), antiquing, spending time soaking up the sun, and baking cookies.

Verse: The Lord is my strength and shield; my heart trusts in Him and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song. Psalm 28:7

Favorite Memories: My husband seeing me the first time in my wedding dress on our wedding day. He looked at me with such a twinkle in his eye and a huge smile on his face. I can still see it in my mind’s eye today. Ascending into the morning mist on a mountain trail in the North Carolina Mountains and inhaling the aroma of the damp woodiness seeping from the earth. Laughing with my family! They are so much fun and bring great joy into my life.
