I’m new to Victory and want to know more about the church. What do I do?

Several times a year, we offer a breakfast on Sunday mornings called “Getting Started at Victory”, where you can discover more about who we are, what we believe, and how you can connect. Our next breakfast gathering will be on Sunday, January 17 at 10:15am in Room 3.

I’m new in my relationship with Christ. Where is the best place for me to grow?

A great place to start is the spiritual tools found in our Victory Life Development Institute classes! These classes are two weeks each, and focus on Knowing Jesus, Growing in Jesus, Serving Like Jesus, and Sharing Jesus with others. The next set of VLDI classes begin in January.

What is vital to my spiritual growth?

We see four priorities as being vital to our spiritual growth as people who live for Jesus:

  • Worshipping: Participating in one of our weekly services takes  the opportunity to lift up the name of Jesus together as a whole church.
  • Serving: Our love for Jesus is shown in how we love people!  Putting our love into action, whether in the community or on our campus,  transforms us and blesses others.
  • Belonging: We grow spiritually when we connect relationally.  Christian community is how we experience what the church truly is – a group of people loving one another like Jesus loves us.  Community Groups are the best place to grow together.
  • Investing: Lost people are what matters to Jesus.  We, as a church, want to be investing in the people that are in our life to help them find the hope that exists in Jesus.  This is why we invest relationally and invite people into an experience of Jesus’ love.

I am really struggling, how can I arrange to meet with someone?

Here are a few of the most common reasons that you may need to meet with someone for assistance:

  • Pastors – Please contact the church office (607-962-7000) if there is a specific pastor that you are seeking.  For emergencies, please contact the pastor on call at 607-426-9138.
  • Counseling – Victory partners with several professional counselors in the area. If you are seeking pastoral counseling with a staff pastor, please call the church office at 607-962-7000.
